FAQs
What is rapid detox?
Rapid detox is a process in which we essentially compress eight days of the quitting opiate addiction process into a few hours. Many addiction patients fear the suffering that comes with withdrawal; rapid detox allows you to miss the worst of it. Imagine how few withdrawal symptoms would be left after eight days of quitting— that is how little withdrawal you will experience with our program. You wake up from our advanced rapid detox process and feel as if those few hours of sleeping were equal to you doing eight days of cold turkey quitting.
How safe is rapid detox for opiate addiction?
No ethical doctor can give a blanket guarantee of safety for an advanced medical procedure like addiction treatment. The safety level of addiction treatment usually depends on which doctor is doing it. At our advanced rapid detox center, the rapid detox procedure is performed by Dr. Thomas Yee, MD. He is an expert anesthesiologist, certified by both the American Board of Anesthesiology and American Board of Pain Medicine. Dr. Yee has been in practice since 1989 and is licensed in Nevada, California, and New York.
Dr. Yee has performed anesthesia for more than 20 years, safely taking care of over 24,000 patients without complications, including thousands of open-heart surgeries. His unique combination of experience in cardiac anesthesia and pain management led to the development of the advanced rapid detox technique.
It is important to understand that rapid detox only treats the physical aspects of opiate drug addiction, not the psychological aspects of social influence behind the problem. After successful rapid detox— which significantly reduces physical addiction and withdrawal— you will still need long-term counseling by addiction rehab professionals. Without counseling, you risk relapse due to psychological and social factors.
What would you like to find in an ideal rapid detox center?
An ideal rapid detox center offers its patients safety, comfort, effective treatments, and reasonable costs. At our clinic, we have never experienced any complications or incidents. This is because we have a highly qualified staff and state-of-the-art equipment, as well as a licensed anesthesiologist. We also ensure that all patients receive continuous, one-on-one nursing care for 36 to 48 hours after the rapid detox treatment. No other clinic offers such intensive care.
Many other rapid detox centers perform a one-hour treatment, which means their patients sometimes wake up suffering from withdrawal. Our treatment is more effective because it lasts for eight hours. Your body needs this time to eliminate the opiates released from the receptors. We do the longest and safest rapid detox procedure for drug addiction treatment in the country.
Can you ask the doctor questions about opiate addiction over the phone?
While other rapid detox centers might not have a doctor to talk to you about addiction treatment, we do. Call our doctor right now at (800) 276-7021 and ask him any questions you might have about opiate addiction, drug addiction treatment, and rapid detox centers.
What is the difference between your clinic and other rapid detox centers?
Our expertise, one-on-one post-procedure care, treatment length, careful monitoring, formal psychological and substance abuse assessment, and long-term follow-ups set us apart from other rapid detox clinics.
The doctor and staff assistants of our clinic are all certified by the American Board of Rapid Detox Medicine. Our staff averages more than 1,000 hours of experience with one-on-one monitoring and caring for patients after rapid detox. No other center in the country routinely offers one-on-one care for 36 to 48 hours to every patient after they wake up from rapid detox. We do the extra work so you can have it easy after waking up.
While most rapid detox clinics only do a one-hour procedure, our treatment lasts eight hours. Longer is not easier for us, but it is more effective and more thorough for you. Throughout the procedure, we utilize the most advanced monitors in the country to track your vital signs. This equipment is more advanced than other detox centers and even the average operating room or intensive care unit. We are also the only center that does formal psychological and substance abuse assessment upon intake, evaluation before discharge, and long-term follow-up by a doctor specializing in substance abuse and psychology.
